Atrocitus, a prominent figure in DC Comics, is the leader and founder of the Red Lantern Corps. His origins trace back to the planet Ryut, where he was one of only five survivors of a massacre perpetrated by the Manhunters, robotic precursors to the Green Lantern Corps.
Fueled by immense rage and a burning desire for vengeance, Atrocitus forged the first Red Lantern Power Battery and Ring.
